We knew picking a name for our characters is more complicated then we think so to make it easier on ourselves Paola used a random name generator which produced the names, Julia Foster and Olivia Barnes. Although these names have no real significant meaning, they fit very well together and we both agreed that the names would suit the personalities of our characters.
Julia Foster: Julia is the more dominate and independent character in our film and she is like a mom to her best friend, Olivia. Julia loves driving her friends wherever they need to go and she will be there for them no matter what. Julia is a very basic person and doesn't like to explore the world that often but rather stay at home and watch a movie with her dog Cali. She wears very neutral colors and likes to blend in with the crowd wherever she goes.
Olivia Barnes: Olivia is the more immature friend who is basically scared of everything. She relies on Julia to be there for her at all times when she is scared to do something herself. She also never wanted to get a license because she is scared of driving so Julia is her personal uber. Olivia is more quirky and likes to wear bright color because it makes her happy and she can stand out from most people.
There's still more we have to think about regarding their ages because we aren't sure if the characters are going to be drunk in the film but their ages will range between 18-21 depending if we chose that to be in our plot or not. But we wanted to make sure our characters have very different personalities because you know what they say, opposites attract and their different personalities play a big part in the plot which I will describe in my next blog post.
